Deafheaven - Infinite Granite (Blue Ed.)

Available:Out of Stock

Given their track record of crafting moody fusions of black metal, post-rock and shoegaze, it's something of a surprise to find that Deafhaven's latest album (their fifth in total) is surprisingly positive-sounding and - whisper it quietly - accessible. Rooted in a blend of post-punk pop and reverb-laden late '80s bagginess, Infinite Granite is packed with ear-pleasing highlights. These include, but are no way limited to, the glistening dream-pop of 'Villain', the billowing ambient/shoegaze fusion of 'Neptune Raising Diamonds', the Smashing Pumpkins-eque 'The Gnashing' and the drowsy, late-night wooziness of closing cut 'Mombassa'.

Blue Vinyl 2LP + Insert Repress

    Side 1
    1. "Shellstar" (6:07)
    2. "In Blur" (5:33)
    Side 2
    1. "Great Mass Of Color" (6:03)
    2. "Neptune Raining Diamonds" (3:09)

    2. "Mombasa" (8:19)
