Australian indie/electronic band Parcels blend a whole world of influences together on their third studio album, Day/Night. It takes in gloriously lush and rich disco and soul with singable choruses and plenty of melodies that worm their way into your brain, with sun soaked prog sounds. The sider-songwriter at the heart of the operation does a fine job of trying the whole thing together with his soothing and soaring tones and the tempos range from tropical bliss to peak time party. This is the band's most widescreen album yet, and therefore their best.
